Suddenly Cinderella noticed that it was almost twelve oclock. Rising from her seat, she courtesied to the company and hurried away as fast as she could. She had only been home a few minutes when her sisters came and began to tell her about the ball.
"There was a beautiful princess," they said, "who drove up in a beautiful coach with six mouse-colored horses. We sat near her at the table, and she gave us some of the cakes which the Prince had given her."
